Aveeno Postively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 and Updates

Aha, wow I've been bad at updating...
So just a few updates before I get to the review:
1. Reviews to be uploaded (they're already filmed): Neutrogena Dry-touch Sunblock SPF 30 and Covergirl Fresh Complexion Undereye Concealer in Creamy Natural
2. Reviews to be re filmed (again since I'm very picking about my videos): Icing palette, icing brushes, NYC eyeliner review, Aziza Eyeshadow review, Maybelline Expert Single Shadows, Elf Brow comb and brush, Elf mascara (Earth Water)
3. Reviews to be filmed: Aveeno Daily Moisturizer, LA Colors Nail Art review, ELF nails polish
4. I plan to film my lunar eclipse tutorial (since I don't like the other ones already posted), but besides that I don't plan to do any tutorials this summer.

Review:

Cost: about 14 dollars when I bought it (it's around 10 now). I recommend if you can get it in a deal like two for one and etc. You really don't need two bottles, so you can give one away or something ^_^

Facial Masks 101

Facial Masks 101

There are different types of masks for different goals and skin types. Most are clays. Others are a mixture or made of natural ingredients like fruits and veggies. You can easily go to the store and buy one or go and make your own.

What does it do?
Facial Masks are used on the face and neck to ease tension lines, remove impurities, help with acne, get rid of black heads, and create healthier skin. Using masks also helps your skin absorb the product better.

General steps for masks
  1. Start off with a clean fresh face
  2. Apply the mask all over the face and neck (you can choose one or the other or both of course!)
  3. Wait 10-15 minutes or until it's dry
  4. Wash off with warm water (You may use a washcloth to help with removal. But be aware it may stain your washcloth!)
  5. Moisture with a moisturizer, even if you have oily skin!
How often should I use masks?
Use masks once a week! It makes a lot of difference. Depending on your skin and preference, you can use it more than once. However, I don't recommend more than 2-3 times a week.

Faq's
What other ways can I use masks?
~
If you have acne, you can use it as an on the spot treatment. Which means just dot it on your acne to dry up the acne pimple.

Is a homemade or a manufactured mask better?
~
It depends on the person. Personally both work the same :)

Help! It burns my skin! What do I do?
~
It might be because you left it on too long. Make sure you wash it off immediately when you first feel the irritation. If it persists each time you use it, you maybe sensitive to the product and you need to discontinue using it.

Is tightening of the skin afterward normal?
~
I'm not sure. But I do feel tighter skin after each time with various products (especially clay masks) so I'm going to have to say yes it is. Make sure the moisture after or apply a serum, it'll absorb into the skin better.

LA colors palette in Urban

Costs $1

It does contain shimmer as you can see above. However, I find that it's TOO shimmery/satiny for everyday (or at least for the more colorful parts of this palette). Let's look at the swatches below.

Under florescent lighting

Under natural lighting

Pros:
~ Color choices are very nice, you can go for a neutral look or a colorful look with this palette
~ They have a nice satin finish, however it can also be considered very shimmery.
~ It goes on light
~ It can be build able
~ It's small enough for travel

Cons:

~ It goes on lightly
~ Not pigmented when transferred to the lid
~ Shimmery
~ Case is hard to open
~ Sponge applicator comes with does not apply the color well
~ Need a primer if you want it to come up well, or you can apply it wet.
~ No mirror
~ Creases in a short period of time

Rating
1 out of 5
I think you can make it work, but I don't think it's worth that one dollar for this palette because there are WAY better products for this price!

Recommend?
No! I think you should save your dollar for a better product or another LA colors palette that's better (i heard the neutral one is a lot better) I don't even think this dollar was worth it.

ELF Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder

You can buy this at eyeslipsface.com, selected Targets, Kmarts, Big Lots, and Dollar Trees.
Costs $3

It looks nice in photos (see below for how it looks like on me) though it's shimmery/ contains gold flecks. It's pigmented so apply with a light hand. The bronzer maybe too dark for fair to light medium skin tones.

People compare this to NAR'S Orgasm and Deep throat blush. Though I've heard that it compares more to Deep Throat.

I really like it. I don't see why not. It's pigmented, doesn't streak, fade away (unless you rub it or something), or even make you look like a disco ball in the sun (unless someone looks at your very closely at your cheeks). I like the way it looks in the overhead fluorescent lighting. It brings a nice glow to your face. However, I would apply the blush with a light hand because it is pigmented.

Icing Diamond cut professional brush kit

Costs: 16 dollars (but because I got it on a buy one get one half off it was 8 dollars)

Contains:
~1 Blush Brush
~1 Eyeshadow Brush
~1 Angled Liner Brush
~1 Crease Brush
~1 Smudger

Overall
Pros:
~Comes with a case
~Each brush comes with an individual plastic protector you can reuse
~The brush length is pretty small so it's pretty much travel sized
~Case its my other brushes (expect my large powder brush)
~Brushes hasn't shed (yet)
Cons:
~Nothing's really a con overall

Review will be in order of the brushes below (top to bottom)

Blush Brush
Pros:
~Applies color well
~Soft
Cons:
~Doesn't blend it out as well as I want, but that's just me. So I prefer using my powder brush to blend it out or apply it :)

Crease Brush
Pros:
~Concentrates color well
~Soft
~Easily gets into the crease
Cons:
~I prefer my crease more blended and this doesn't blend the crease well for me.
~ (may also be a pro) it's dense
It might be good for smokey looks though.

Eyeshadow brush
Pros:
~Soft
~Flat and thin tip
~Thing tip can double for applying a thin line of color
~Great brush to use moist to pack on colors
Cons:
~Not very good for packing on color on it's own

Angled Liner Brush
Pros:
~Good for apply a variety of products (creams and powders. Haven't tried gel yet)
~Small
Cons:
~Not capable of creating very fine lines (or as fine as I would like it to be for I have a partial monolid)

Smudger
Pros:
~Feels like a good quality sponge
~Good for cleaning up makeup smudges and etc. (Not waterproof mascara smudges while it's still wet though)
~Reusable
Cons:
~It cleans up products more than it "smudges" like it's intended to use for. So I would suggest you smudge with a brush rather than using this.

Overall review
Pros:
~Has a nice sized mirror
~Closes and stays closed
~Hinges hasn't broken off
~Nice design
~Nice that it includes applicators
~Top lid feels very sturdy
Cons:
~The color of the outside casing came off and transferred onto my hands and towel while sanitizing it
~Bottom of the case feels very flimsy
~Hard to open for me
~Sponge tipped applicators did not apply color well
~Lip brush dug into the lip glosses and took too much product and feels very hard

*** No comment on the blush/ powder brush

Eyeshadows:

Pros:
~Nice variety of colors
~Good amount of color and neutrals
Cons:
~All Shimmery/ metallic
~Pigmentation quality is not equal for all colors
~Creases after about two-four hours(?) without a base or primer

Swatches (Colors in order of columns starting from left to right)

Eyebrow powder
Pros:
~Variety of colors for brunettes and blondes
~Comes out matte even though you see a few pieces of shimmer
Cons:
~No black for very dark brown

Swatches in no particular order:

Eyebrow cream
Pros:
~Doesn't feel sticky
~Comes out transparent
Cons:
~Feels heavy for me (i never use gel or creams on it before)

***** No comment on the staying power, how well it keeps strays in place, or how it works with the powder

Glosses
Pros:
~Not sticky
~Good pigmentation on some
~Nice sheer tint on others
~Very glossy
~Doesn't taste horrible
Cons:
~ Appears with glitter, however when applied i haven't seen glitter on my lips for the four located on the top right corner of the set.
~ You see the glitter on your lips after the sheer tinted glosses after it wears off. Also, the glitter spreads around the mouth area

****No comment on staying power

Swatches in no particular order:

Cream liners
Pros:
~Variety of matte and glittery liners
~Goes on pretty smoothly for most of them
Cons:
~Does not stay on long even when setted with shadow (I have partial monolids and also oily lids so that maybe why)
~Not all goes on smoothly
~Not all are very pigmented

**** No comment on whether it is a good base

Swatches in order from bottom row to top row

Powders and Blushes
Pros:
~Blushes don't come out too shimmery
~Matte powder and blushes applies pretty well
~Shimmery powder highlights well
~Pretty good pigmentation for the blushes
~Matter powder doesn't streak on me at the end of the day
Cons:
~Matter powder broke me out (probably because I didn't moisturize on my dry spots)
~I prefer if the shimmery powder did not have as large pieces of shimmer

**** No comment on staying power of the blushes (for i naturally turn flushed by the end of the day), whether the compact powder keeps my face matte (i do not reapply) or the shimmery powder.

Swatches in order (reversed)

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
It could be better, but for the money it's a good deal especially if you have a coupon or something or you're just starting out and want to experiment with a variety of products. Also makes a good sort of inexpensive gift.

****NOTE Icing and Claire's usually have buy one get one half off deals on cosmetics so keep an eye out for that in case you're planning to buy more than one product!

Recommend?
Sure, not a product that's a "MUST HAVE" but I know I won't be needing any of the products included in the set :) I'm sure there are better make up sets out there, so if you want to try this you can.

I was not paid for the review nor sponsored nor affiliated with the company or producer. Was purchased with my own money

Rant #1 ~Regret~

Regret? Pah! I laugh at it, if we just think and know that it was the best we COULD do AT the TIME instead of "I could have done better" or "That wasn't the best choice" afterward, what is there to regret?

What is said is done. There's no point in dawdling on the past nor is there a way to turn the clock back. Life and time isn't going to wait for you or any of us to come back to the present. That's just shortening our future.

We are human, we're not perfect. So stop the regrets, yes there will, more than likely, ALWAYS be a "better" but is it always the BEST?
