Icing Diamond cut professional brush kit

Costs: 16 dollars (but because I got it on a buy one get one half off it was 8 dollars)

Contains:
~1 Blush Brush
~1 Eyeshadow Brush
~1 Angled Liner Brush
~1 Crease Brush
~1 Smudger

Overall
Pros:
~Comes with a case
~Each brush comes with an individual plastic protector you can reuse
~The brush length is pretty small so it's pretty much travel sized
~Case its my other brushes (expect my large powder brush)
~Brushes hasn't shed (yet)
Cons:
~Nothing's really a con overall

Review will be in order of the brushes below (top to bottom)

Blush Brush
Pros:
~Applies color well
~Soft
Cons:
~Doesn't blend it out as well as I want, but that's just me. So I prefer using my powder brush to blend it out or apply it :)

Crease Brush
Pros:
~Concentrates color well
~Soft
~Easily gets into the crease
Cons:
~I prefer my crease more blended and this doesn't blend the crease well for me.
~ (may also be a pro) it's dense
It might be good for smokey looks though.

Eyeshadow brush
Pros:
~Soft
~Flat and thin tip
~Thing tip can double for applying a thin line of color
~Great brush to use moist to pack on colors
Cons:
~Not very good for packing on color on it's own

Angled Liner Brush
Pros:
~Good for apply a variety of products (creams and powders. Haven't tried gel yet)
~Small
Cons:
~Not capable of creating very fine lines (or as fine as I would like it to be for I have a partial monolid)

Smudger
Pros:
~Feels like a good quality sponge
~Good for cleaning up makeup smudges and etc. (Not waterproof mascara smudges while it's still wet though)
~Reusable
Cons:
~It cleans up products more than it "smudges" like it's intended to use for. So I would suggest you smudge with a brush rather than using this.

~1 Eyebrow cream
~8 Cream liners (3 matte 4 glittery)
~4 colored glosses
~8 sheer/tinted glittery glosses
~2 Shimmery Blushes
~1 Matte compact powder
~1 Shimmery/Glittery Powder
~2 Duo sided eyeshadow sponges
~1 Lip brush
~1 face/ blush brush
~One built in mirror

Overall review
Pros:
~Has a nice sized mirror
~Closes and stays closed
~Hinges hasn't broken off
~Nice design
~Nice that it includes applicators
~Top lid feels very sturdy
Cons:
~The color of the outside casing came off and transferred onto my hands and towel while sanitizing it
~Bottom of the case feels very flimsy
~Hard to open for me
~Sponge tipped applicators did not apply color well
~Lip brush dug into the lip glosses and took too much product and feels very hard

*** No comment on the blush/ powder brush

Eyeshadows:

Pros:
~Nice variety of colors
~Good amount of color and neutrals
Cons:
~All Shimmery/ metallic
~Pigmentation quality is not equal for all colors
~Creases after about two-four hours(?) without a base or primer

Swatches (Colors in order of columns starting from left to right)

Eyebrow powder
Pros:
~Variety of colors for brunettes and blondes
~Comes out matte even though you see a few pieces of shimmer
Cons:
~No black for very dark brown

Swatches in no particular order:

Eyebrow cream
Pros:
~Doesn't feel sticky
~Comes out transparent
Cons:
~Feels heavy for me (i never use gel or creams on it before)

***** No comment on the staying power, how well it keeps strays in place, or how it works with the powder

Glosses
Pros:
~Not sticky
~Good pigmentation on some
~Nice sheer tint on others
~Very glossy
~Doesn't taste horrible
Cons:
~ Appears with glitter, however when applied i haven't seen glitter on my lips for the four located on the top right corner of the set.
~ You see the glitter on your lips after the sheer tinted glosses after it wears off. Also, the glitter spreads around the mouth area

****No comment on staying power

Swatches in no particular order:

Cream liners
Pros:
~Variety of matte and glittery liners
~Goes on pretty smoothly for most of them
Cons:
~Does not stay on long even when setted with shadow (I have partial monolids and also oily lids so that maybe why)
~Not all goes on smoothly
~Not all are very pigmented

**** No comment on whether it is a good base

Swatches in order from bottom row to top row

Powders and Blushes
Pros:
~Blushes don't come out too shimmery
~Matte powder and blushes applies pretty well
~Shimmery powder highlights well
~Pretty good pigmentation for the blushes
~Matter powder doesn't streak on me at the end of the day
Cons:
~Matter powder broke me out (probably because I didn't moisturize on my dry spots)
~I prefer if the shimmery powder did not have as large pieces of shimmer

**** No comment on staying power of the blushes (for i naturally turn flushed by the end of the day), whether the compact powder keeps my face matte (i do not reapply) or the shimmery powder.

Swatches in order (reversed)

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10
It could be better, but for the money it's a good deal especially if you have a coupon or something or you're just starting out and want to experiment with a variety of products. Also makes a good sort of inexpensive gift.

****NOTE Icing and Claire's usually have buy one get one half off deals on cosmetics so keep an eye out for that in case you're planning to buy more than one product!

Recommend?
Sure, not a product that's a "MUST HAVE" but I know I won't be needing any of the products included in the set :) I'm sure there are better make up sets out there, so if you want to try this you can.

I was not paid for the review nor sponsored nor affiliated with the company or producer. Was purchased with my own money

Rant #1 ~Regret~

Regret? Pah! I laugh at it, if we just think and know that it was the best we COULD do AT the TIME instead of "I could have done better" or "That wasn't the best choice" afterward, what is there to regret?

What is said is done. There's no point in dawdling on the past nor is there a way to turn the clock back. Life and time isn't going to wait for you or any of us to come back to the present. That's just shortening our future.

We are human, we're not perfect. So stop the regrets, yes there will, more than likely, ALWAYS be a "better" but is it always the BEST?

99 Cents Mini Haul

So I was walking through the 99 cents store hoping to find a yellow eye shadow (just because I couldn't find any at my local drug stores)
Aziza Phoenix (top) and Aziza Dallas (bottom)

(Phoenix is on top and Dallas is on the bottom {in order left to right})
P.S. Sorry if it looks gross >_<
href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwwxrR-_f1_FIlSLzh3YZ_rsSu8cedeEW35FN8OpNHD0LFv36fIn2AakLb8XvPif4_DG9MOfffHONzme3n6_awdn0LHR1aSTPHfcS48OyzAqubzqejMt0hnlyfmHAvj7Ja1MqIDD_LsxsW/s1600/DSCN0720.JPG">

To put it very simple and straight:

Phoenix
Pros:
  • Like the red and green color
Cons:
  • Some are not Pigmented
  • When I applied the light colors it looked very cakey and powdery
Overall: Wouldn't recommend buying. Not very pigmented overall.

Dallas
Pros:

  • There are neutral colors so it's perfect for everyday wear and etc.
  • Shows very well on the skin
Cons:
  • Haven't had any so far
EDIT
  • When i tried to pack on the light colors, it didn't go on very well with the "wet on wet" technique. Which is basically wetting the eyeshadow and the brush to apply, like watercolors. It's suppose to go on smoothly like liquid eyeliner, but unfortunately it didn't.
Overall: Would recommend buying and would buy again.

Updates:

Hey Everyone, I'm trying to upload videos on my account, but I've been lazy lately and unmotivated for anything mostly because things happened and I'm busy, so it's going to be a while before I upload anything.

I've been mostly busy with working on volunteering, Relay for Life and etc. So please watch my old videos while I try to get my motivation up.

P.S. I'll work on a video for you guys to watch in the meantime :)

Online manga sites

I'm a fan of online manga sites, but here's the cons.

1. Manga fox moving their url around.
First off, it's plain annoying, you bookmark where you left off and then poof! you have to find it again! It's not that big of a problem... Until you're reading and then it does it. Why don't they just stick to a url and try not to change it.

2. Putting a license on a manga.
Yes, yes you manga companies want to make money, but honestly it always has to be after the scanlators already translated it!

Yeah, got distract with talking to my best friend so I'm going to stop here

Make Up "Must Have's"

Here's a list to help you make up beginner's with your collection:
~ Mascara - You cannot replace it and any look would be incomplete without it

~ Concealer - We all know that there's something you want or have to cover.

~Chap stick ~ Yes, everyone needs chap stick. For girls, you can stick with lipgloss.

~ Make up remover ~ Though, you put into so much effort to create that pretty masterpiece, it has to come off. Not only is it bad for your skin, but bacteria can grow on it or you'll break out or your eye can be infected! Even if it's a bar of soap, olive oil, vaseline, or any cheap, but good working make up remover will do.

~ Cotton balls or Cotton pads and or Q-tips - To aid in removing and or fixing make up ^^

Easy right? Now is getting into make up hard? Once you're more comfortable with make up (and raise money of course) you can add more to your collection like
~ Eye shadows (I prefer quads or palettes for beginners so you can experiment with more colors)
~ Foundation, or tinted moisturizer
~ Blush
~ Brushes (even artist brushes that are washed and feel comfortable on your skin)
~ Lip stick (if you don't any already)
~ Fake Lashes

Tips to remember!

  • You don't have to have everything a make up guru has, or even every single brand or type of mascara and etc. If you have a similar color, feel free to use it. If you want to switch up the color, go ahead! ^_^
  • To wash off your make up!
  • Keep an eye out of coupons and special codes that gives you discounts.
  • Do your research before buying a product!
  • Don't be afraid to experiment!
  • Do know what type of make up is appropriate (ie it's not appropriate for you to wear bright colored eye shadows in a business office)
  • Always be gentle when removing or applying make up!!!!!!!!!

Review: Sally Hanson's French Manicure

In the color 2299 Sheerly mauve, it comes in a pack with 3 papers with 13 guide strips for fingers and 13 for toes and the color sheerly mauve and natural white.

I'll give it a 5, it's easy to use but after some practice you'll get better at it, trust me. The end result reminds me of gel nails.

Pro:
~Easy to use
~Found it at the 99 cent store (luckily :D)
~Has 13 which allows you to use another if it messes up

Cons:
~ It gets messed up even after it dries (though it maybe my top coat)
~ Have no idea what to do with the extra 9 strips for my fingers and 9 for my toes but to reuse one.

Overall: Good product, would recommend buying it if you happen to find it at a cheap store or something, but not a "must have" unless you want a french mani and pedi, but don't own a kit already
